Location
Our campus is in the heart of the city of Liverpool , a vibrant, friendly and international city in the North West of England. With more museums, galleries and theatres than any other area outside London , it is not surprising that Liverpool has been honoured with the title of European Capital of Culture for 2008. Liverpool was also designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004. Liverpool is the home of 2 Premier League football clubs – Liverpool and Everton – and one of the greatest horse races in the world, the Grand National. Music is also very important in Liverpool – it is the birthplace of the Beatles and the music scene is still thriving today. There are over 50,000 students in the city of Liverpool which helps to keep the cost of living down. In a recent Royal Bank of Scotland survey, Liverpool was found to be the 4 th cheapest student city in the UK . Excellent road and rail links connect Liverpool with the rest of the UK and the John Lennon airport offers cheap flights to many European destinations.

Facilities

There are 2 main University libraries which house 1.7 million books. Students have easy access to networked computers with free internet and personalised University email addresses. There are computer centres in the main libraries and at various locations all over the campus, including the Brownlow Hill Centre which is open 24 hours a day. The newly extended Sports Centre now has a 26-metre swimming pool, 2 sports halls, a climbing wall, dance studio and 4 squash courts. If you’re not into sports, there are many other activities to get involved in.
