Profile
Dundee is a vibrant modern city, but very proud of its traditions and history. It is the home of many discoveries including aspirin, electric light, wireless telegraphy, X-rays, the adhesive postage stamp and keyhole surgery. It is the centre of Scotland’s Biotech Industry and computer games’ technology, and hosts the leading international for cancer and life sciences research. The University of Abertay Dundee is the home of the Dundee Business School (which provides a top MBA programme) and also of the School of Computing & Advanced Technologies, the School of Contemporary Sciences, and the School of Social & Health Sciences.

Location
Dundee, Scotland’s sunniest city – average of 1,400 sunshine hours per year!! – is situated in a beautiful location on the picturesque River Tay on the East Coast of Scotland, about an hour from Edinburgh. It has the best air quality of any Scottish city, good quality of services and a cheaper cost of living than in many other UK cities. Dundee Airport is very close to the University and the city is on the main railway line just six hours from London. From Thailand you can fly on KLM or SAS to Edinburgh. The University is in a modern campus in the city centre.

Facilities
It is one of the leading UK universities in the use of communications and information technologies (C & IT) in the support of teaching and learning. The superb 8-million pound multi-award winning University Library has fully equipped seminar rooms, study rooms and a 24-hour facility which combines IT and study facilities and a time-out area. About 1000 PCs are available throughout the campus and all students receive IT and library skills training as an integral part of their course.

Accommodation
All accommodation is within easy reach of the University. Self-catering flats are furnished and many have en suite facilities. The University guarantees a place to all new students provided they apply before 1st September.
